Quicktics.com selected SEC to provide an Online Ticket Sales
System which would allow the purchased and sales of tickets
in multiple offices anywhere and the sale of tickets from the
Quicktics.com website/portal. The system had to be up, verified,
and operational by Feb-27-2001 - the meeting of the National
Ticket Brokers Association in Las Vegas. SEC had already provided
a Point of Sale system to Quicktics.com for the purchase/sales
(and other operations) of tickets in a telesales/counter-sales
office environment. The Quicktics system would automatically
synchronize the Quicktics database inventory with that of the
participating office in real-time to satisfy the requirement
that a ticket can be sold once and only once. The system had
to scale to handle up to 20 million tickets for up to 20,000
events at 1,800 venues representing events over a 5 month period.
The system had to perform credit card transactions and interface
to Federal Express for delivery processing.
